Kawasaki KH 250 B2 - SOI 6119

History:

The engine number S1E043115 and chassis number KH250B-013290 corresponds to a 1977 manufacturing year and B2 model. Information from the owner at the time is that the bike was bought from an insurance company as crash recovery and was repaired using parts from a same year donor bike. The current tax book shows that this was re-registered on 1/11/78 as SOI 6119 and is thus listed incorrectly as a B4 model in the new tax book.

The petrol tank and side panels were resprayed blue but have been returned to the correct B2 candy wine red livery and graphics.

Restoration:

Engine professional strip-down, new internal seals, cylinders re-bored, new conrods, big and small end bearings and oversize pistons fitted. New crankcase and engine seals fitted, oil and filter.

Cylinder heads and barrels professionally shot peened. Engine cases polished and lacquered, clutch case, chain case and alternator cases replaced and polished. New engine screws fitted. New points, plugs and HT leads fitted.

Frame, mountings brackets and chain guard touch-up painted and new swing arm bushes fitted, sprockets and final drive chain. Headlamp mounts replaced. Rear footrests replaced. Bolts replaced with new throughout.

Carburettors stripped, sonic bath cleaned, rebuilt and re-set; two new air inlet pipes, air box cleaned, painted and new air filter fitted.

Throttle, clutch and rev counter cables replaced.

Wheel hubs, polished and lacquered, rims respoked with stainless steel and fitted with new tyres and tubes. Wheel spacers replaced with chromed items.

Forks stripped, stanchions professionally rechromed, new seals fitted and professionally rebuilt. New rear shock absorbers fitted.

New front brake hose, calliper stripped cleaned, new seals and pads. New rear brake shoes and polished rear brake hub. Chromed wheel axles and spacers fitted.

Petrol tank sealed internally and professionally repaired, graphics fitted, resprayed and lacquered. Side panels resprayed, lacquered and one new badge fitted. New petrol cap fitted. Fuel petcock cleaned, new seals and fuel hoses fitted.

Indicators and lenses replaced and new rear view mirrors fitted. Front mudguard replaced (original item available)
