This 1972 S1 hs been lovingly restored over the last 5 years with over £3500 being spent.
This is a one owner bike with a genuine 13000 miles showing on the clock has a bit of history.
It was bought new in 1972 by a 16 year old lad and used for commuting to and from work in Birmingham.After about 18 months the bike developed a fault and was stripped down to the last nut and bolt (WHY DID WE DO THAT !!) He then bought a CZ !! and the S1 was forgotten until a number of years later when the family decided to move, as they did'nt want to take it with them it was offered FOC to the present owner who lived nextdoor.He accepted the offer and the bike was delivered in 3 wheelbarrow loads!!!This was around 1976,the bike was partly put together and left until 5 years ago when the decision was made to restore the bike.The present owner had no knowledge of motorcycles and infact has never ridden one !! that said he has done a very good job on the restoration.
Suprisingly enough considering its story the bike has retained all its hard to replace parts including the rear mudguard,indicator brackets,centrestand etc.

All other chrome parts re-plated including a stunning set of pipes which have not yet been fitted to the bike.

The bike is stunning and a credit to the restorer and could be used as is,but for the purists out there it is not nut and bolt perfect.Having said this it will take VERY little to make the bike into a show winner.
